Wow, angry? My answer is sincere and honest. I believe it is wrong to come into recruitment with preconceived ideas about each sorority. I am in one of the sororities known for not being big parties, yet there are several girls in my sorority that hang with the best of them. I think it's best to find a well rounded sorority or you may find your grades suffering. We are here to get an education first.

The pnm didn't ask for what you think is best, she asked which sororities are social types.

Thank you,Yes! Every sorority has every kind of girl. Period. So, please try to wait until you go through recruitment. When I went through, I knew by the end of the week where I would fit best and was lucky enough to get my first choice. Just relax and be yourself. The girls in the sorority will know if you fit as well. The worst thing you can do is try to figure it all out now and adjust who you ar to fit in a certain sorority.

Please stop. This is one person's opinion. As trite as it sounds EVERY sorority would fit " All-Around/Mix of Everything". You are obviously in one of those groups listed under that category.
PNM's need to wait until they get to Auburn to decide where they want to "rush".

All comments on any posts on GR are opinions of the poster only. The poster did not write anything negative which is the objective and therefore does not point at anything derogatory about any of the groups. I can see a lot of truth in what she wrote, but that is still opinion based. I think she also was unbiased in her comments and showed respect for all the groups. Those girls that get on here and write mean spirited posts need to follow this posters nice definitions.

This is a very accurate opinion. The girl protesting it is just mad that her sorority isn't how she wants listed.

accurate. Better than those who try and rate groups according to who they like and act as if that is how it is. All of these are just personal opinions of course. I would add all of the groups in the last group of All around mix however.

This is YOUR opinion... I guess it's fine. I just advise PNM's that all of AU sororities a pretty well rounded. Some sororities have a few more party girls and some have a few more reserved girls. I don't think there is one type of girl in a whole sorority. If that were the case...the party girls would probably lose their charter for not meeting their national's grade standards. Seriously, every sorority is so similar it's hard to make a list.

And again, you're completely wrong. Take Chi O and Phi Mu for example. Over half of Chi O are more reserved girls that you'd see at Farmhouse or Fiji. On the other hand, most Phi Mus are more social, party girls that you'll find at places like SAE and Theta Chi. They're complete opposites, and there are many different types of sororities that are not much alike. Sorry, but what you say simply isn't true.

At the bottom for least wild would be: XO, AXO, KKG, KD, AGD, AOP, DG and ADP. The top level would be PM, ZTA, PP and GPB. The rest are all middle area or even in he lower grouping. That is not to say there are not any girls in the bottom groups that party or go out all the time, there are plenty for sure, but the majority are not wild or known as being "party girls." (It changes according to the girls they get each year.)

I would MUCH rather be at the bottom of this list than the top. I personally don't want to be seen as a sloppy party girl, nor do my friends. Thankful my sorority is near the bottom.

That is absolutely not true. Sororities are different, just a fact. Time to accept it.

There are every kind of girl in each sorority. That is a fact. Not everyone will a KD and that is a fact. All the sororities have the same kind of girls and you can find wonderful friends in each one.

There's every kind of girl in each group! It's not like the Stepford Sorority girls for gosh sakes. What year do you think it is if you honestly believe that all sororities have the exact same sort of girl and personality. It's just like those ranking groups, you see what you want to see and then try to convince everyone else that it is that particular way. It is not hard to see that there are some from certain groups who try to rank groups down when they are really good. However, in this post, the girl who wrote this seems to think that being at the top is good. Thank goodness mine is not there, but it certainly would be a lot lower in reality. I know the KKG's are nice, very active on campus and not super partiers, but there are a few other groups who would prefer to be in that last place position. Again, these ratings are only personal opinions!
