I'm a rushee and I was wondering why people bash Theta, Kappa, Gamma Phi and Azd so much? I know those are supposed to be the bottom sororities, but if they're already bad then why people worry about them? And why instead of helping them and trying to make them better girls just bash them? Or are they really thaaaat bad? I'm not trying to defend those groups, cause I really don't care, I was just wondering...

What does is take to be a Phi Mu or a Pi Beta Phi? Do you have to be a legacy? Know someone? Or just be cute and sweet to get a bid?

I have met, or seen, some of the girls from just about all the groups (my bf is here and not in a sorority) and they all seem okay to me, however, my sister was one in the top tier groups and I would love to be in one of them. She went to a very small school where there were only a few groups and it was quiet easy to get in any group you wanted, and I doubt that it would have much infuence on the groups here. Does being a legacy from a another school, especially a small school, have any pull with a group tha has tons of legacies going through, or does it have more if the mom or sister came from this particular school, like Auburn? I have a friend that wants to be what her cousin is so bad that she is considering not going through because she thinks she will have a better chance later in the year. Thoughts??

If you are a cutie with a perky personality, the Pi Phi's and Phi Mu's wil love you. Make sure you have a rec for each sorority. All sororities need recs. Make sure have as many recs as you can find. Also, it seems that the Phi Mu's have a little higher GPA requirement. Maybe a 3.5 or 3.6 unweighted. Both of those groups are great. You also need to be open minded to others. If you like those two, you will probably like ADPi and Chi-O also.

KD, XO, Alpha Gam, ADPi, and Pi Phi are pretty much the best groups at Auburn. Every sorority has drama. Every sorority has girls that drop out. But these I mentioned have been well respected groups for years and that's not changing any time soon.

All the sororities on campus are great, but the Pi Phi's need to stop trying to rank themselves higher and putting down Phi Mu's. Yes the Pi Phi's are in the top, but the Phi Mu's are also. When I went through rush, I put Phi Mu as my fifth and Pi Phi as my sixth. Phi Mu will always be above Pi Phi. seriously stop Pi Phi's. Pi Phi's should not be put alone with kd,xo, agd, or adpi. They aren't involved enough.

There goes another angry Phi Mu trying to force everyone to believe they're a "top" sorority. Why don't the Phi Mus stop trying to rank themselves higher than they should be? The ":)" person didn't say Phi Mu was bad, they just didn't include them in their opinon of top groups. HOW DARE THEY! Hahaha. Phi Mus are ridiculous.

I do have to agree that Pi Phi is always trying to rank themselves higher than they are regardless of the Phi Mu's. Pi Phi and Phi Mu are good, but anything spectacular. They are both in the top tier but the best four remain: kd, adpi, agd, and xo. Pi Phi's really need to stop though.

your mother can write a recommendation to the auburn chapter of her sorority.in fact, some sororities also have legacy introduction forms-if her sorority is one that does she should fill one of those out too. her sorority magazine may have the forms or she can get them from the national website. send them asap!
she should not phone!

reply to question 2:

your sister should send in a recommendation form to the auburn chapter of her sorority and a legacy form, if her sorority has one. don't worry if an auburn legacy has more clout or not, that is something you cannot control. what you can control is being well put together, be nice, smile and be interested at all the chapters.
