sorority comments

I think that if you must rank, fine..but if you think that a group is low, then pledge them and make them better. Personally I think that all the groups are good and I know some in each group. By the way, on the rankings, the groups that are happy with their ranking are not going on here and lsting anything, that leaves someone in a group that is listed lower as being unhappy. All the groups will pledge quota and then it just begins again with new girls. Enjoy life and do not worry so much with trying to rate groups.

I'm sure I did the right thing in choosing Auburn. Even tho some of the comments on here are harsh, overall they are classy...I'm really looking forward to rush at Auburn.

I love being in a sorority and I am an AOPI. We always get ranked middle class. I preffed AOpi, AGD, and Pi Phi. All three are really good, but during pref I felt a true connection with AOPi. So the moral to my story is that by the rankings a pledged a lower sorority. I could have pledged 2 that were top tier. I am so happy. Do what is in your heart.

Getting time for rush. I am excited. To all rushees, look at each group close. Look at their web-sites. If you want a group that makes really good grades, then you should go AGD, KKG, Chi-O, or ADPi.If you want a group that does awesome charity work and raises lots of money for their respective charity, then you need to go Phi Mu or KD. If you want to go the rich girls, pledge KD, Pi Phi, and Phi Mu. If you want to pledge the pretty sorority pledge Phi Mu or Pi PHi. If you want all around good, go Chi-O. If you want fun, excellcent grades, with strict rule, pledge ADPi or AGD. If you want pretty party girls, go Pi Phi, DDD, or ADPI.

girls below is pretty accurate. I see things a little different. I think AOpi and Chi-O are the most diversified groups. Both are sweetand classy. I see KD, Phi Mu, and AGD as the movers and shakers. Phi Mu seems to always raise the most money of any sorority for their charity. KD seems to win lots of events. AGD is also great as fund raisers and always win grades. Last year, these three sororities switched around the best rushees. AdPi is very fun, upbeat, but very strict on their freshmen. Pi Phi and Phi Mu are by far the most atrractive and they seem to be the closest. They act like they really love each other. KD was/is the POWER last year on campus. They are the true money girls-big money girls. DDD,AX,Chi-O and AOPi are also very strong and good.AGD are very good-never seen-majorettes. KD-cheerleaders, Phi Mu-Tiger Paws. Pi Phi-most fun. They like a party and they always look good while they are partying.KKG-highly intelligent.

Senior is close to right. I want all ladies to go through rush with their eyes wide open. Investigate. Know your sororities. I pledged a sorority and I should have pledged by 2nd choice. The girls are more like me. I had preconceived ideas. If I did it over again, I would look close at AOPi, ADpi, Pi Phi,Phi Mu and AGD. I really think these four have a true balance from within. KD is the campus power house, but many girls are very unhappy.

I personally believe that most sororities are great at Auburn. There are some that have some very low class, crude, and embarrassing women but those groups are few in number and you will figure out exactly which groups those are when you get to recruitment. Most of all, don't pay attention to this site, some rankings are accurate, and some are way off. All this site represents is which groups have girls willing to get on here and rate them very often.

All good groups, but they shake out this way:
Tier 1: KD, PiPhi, XO, AGD, ADPi, Phi Mu

Tier 2: AOPi, AXO, DDD, DZ, ZTA, DG, EK

Tier 3: GPB, Theta, KKG, AZD

Pretty much agree with the previous post. Ladies, think of tiers as sort of the amount of clout a group has on campus. The top 4 or 5 are just so dominant. That being said,you should not go into rush with your mind set on only the top 4 or 5. Find the one where you feel at home!
