Do all sororities look for local Southern girls? I would like to rush next year as a freshman. Do I have a chance as an outsider from Florida?

Yes, Theta is here at Auburn! So far off to a great start with beautiful girls who actually are nice! Theta has always been known as a top sorority in the South. I know alot of girls who have been waiting for its arrival. In fact they decided not to go thru this past rush so they could pledge Theta. I think it will soon be at the top of the list here at AU.

All the arguing and ranking is ridiculous. All sororities claim to have sisterhood and philanthropies as their main priorities. Greek life founders never meant for it to be a giant popularity contest. If you're so disappointed in your own sorority that you have to put others down, maybe you should rethink why you joined in the first place.

There are so many excellent sororities at Auburn; there's much more going on now than when I was there. Keep in mind these rankings reflect opinions of folks who have logged on. Meet the girls, but look around at the girls who are atttending pref with you; they'll possibly be your sisters for four years. After 30 years I am still in touch with so many women who touched my life. Many were in my sorority; many are friends I met in classes. We all love Auburn.! My daughter did not pledge my sorority, and she is so happy. That's what's important.....as well as being a student and preparing for a great career! War Eagle! (Alpha Gam & KD are phenomenal!)

It is really exciting to see how some of the average sororities in the past are really doing a great job at recruiting the best girls and therefore greatly improving their sororities reputation. I am glad some girls are oopen minded and do have have to be in the "so called" best but following which sorority fits them best.

Rather than saying that the groups that have been considered the best in the past have fallen, it is more accurate to fully see that all the sororities at Auburn have risen, and that the over-all outlook has all of them very even to each other. All have something to offer to a young woman searching for a group and they all have beautiful girls, active girls, smart girls, athletic girls. Instead of saying who's the best (your own group should be!) and who is not...Be proud that Auburn can claim that they have such a great group of sororities!

I am proud of the sororities at Auburn!!
