all right ladies listen to this: I know you want the truth because that is how I am. Everyone wants to be in a top sorority.

# 1 in every category: KD
#2 -#6(no special order) Pi Phi, Phi Mu, ADPi, AGD, Chi-O

Personally, I like being in #2-#6 group. Be Happy, Don't Worry.

Ok I'm gonna go ahead and share my story with the PNM'S who visit this site, hoping y'all will learn something from me. So when I went through rush I was SO worried about getting into a top 5 sorority. Not only because I cared, but my mom cared a lot too. I behaved exactly like my sorority friends told me I should. Guess what? I got into one of those. Not the top 3, but still top 5. I was so so so happy. But I ended up dropping. Was my sorority bad? Not at all. It just wasn't the right one for me. Be yourself and don't worry about rankings!

Some of you are being really ridiculous. I love the KD's. I preffed KD, Phi Mu, and Chi-O. Actually, I was going KD until pref. They lost me and Phi Mu won me over. I have been happy for 2 years. I love Phi Mu. They are the perfect fit for me. No sorority has all of one type of girl. Stop being mean. Be thankful you are in a sorority. Enjoy being a Tiger fan!

The reasons people hate on KD and Phi Mu are obvious. Yes, KD is the best, hands down. So people will always be jealous of girls at the top. But Phi Mu is not even top four. Those spots are reserved for KD, XO, Alpha Gam, and ADPi. Phi Mu is a top tier wannabe sorority. They constantly try to insist they belong with the other groups when they simply don't. Phi Mu is a great sorority. But the others are just plain amazing. They are hard to compete with. So people get tired of hearing Phi Mus fake their top status. Stop faking it and start earning it.

Years from now when you have a real job, kids, a mortgage payment, and actual responsibilities you won't care what sorority you were in during college. And if you do, then I feel sorry for you.

There are four sisters in my family. The oldest pledged Chi-O,then came ADPi,Phi Mu, and I pleged Pi Phi.This was over a 12 year period. We were all very happy with our choices. Now my neice is rushing this fall. All we hear from her is Chi-O(mom), Phi Mu and Pi phi. I tell her all the time when you get old and start working, no one cares. You are so busy raising kids, that sorority life seems long ago. Live in the moment. Enjoy your sorority. Auburn is the best time of your life.

I will tell your neice the truth. If she has lots of money pledge KD. If they can't win it fairly, they buy it.So they win everything. Also, tell her to get a Rolex for rush. KD will be extremely impress with that. If power is not her "cup of tea" she should stick with the family sororities. She can not go wrong with any of those four.

In my family, including cousins, we have (2)KD,
(3)KKG, (2)XO, (3)ADP and a PM, all from different colleges all over. Some have graduated but some are still in school like me. We have a great time when we all get together talking about our groups and the colleges, but those that are out all say it is time to start a new phase of life once you graduate. They are in alum groups and they keep up with their friends, but sorority life is for college. Enjoy any group you get and have fun. They all offer wonderful memories and great friendships. AU has good groups from all!

I came within an inch from pledging KD. Thank goodness I did not. I put them 2nd on by bid list. You are right about power. They have it all over Auburn. They also have lots of girls that do not stay in. Most of them leave because of money. There is lots of financial pressure there.

If I was a girl I would pledge PI Phi, Kd, Phi Mu or DDD. These are always the best swaps.
