sorority comments

you seem like a very well rounded girl that any of the sororities would love to have! I won't tell you which one I'm in, but I know that a lot of what you described is what we look for! My advice is that you shouldn't stress about which one to be in before you get there. I had my heart set on a certain sorority and when I got dropped I was heart broken. I can now see that I wouldn't have had as much fun there as I do in my current sorority, even though every sorority is a great group of girls! Bottom line, the system works for the most part. Everyone pretty much ends up where they fit in best so just be yourself in each party, put rankings and stereotypes aside, and your rush experience will be so much less stressful! See you in August! :)

I completely agree with "sassy girl's" ranking and positive attitude. KD, Phi Mu, AGD, Chi-O,ADPi, and Pi Phi in that order. These sororities are by far the best at Auburn. Pledge one of these and you will not go wrong. Each one has its unique positive quality. War Eagle!

Your probably not going to get cut from most sororities at the beginning but at the end you will probably get cut from more, especially the ones that are more selective and have better grades. My mom and my sister were phi mu's, and my sister put phi mu down, and she got cut from tons of sororities with a 4.1. I didn't put that they were phi mu's, and I had a lot of choices even though in the end I went Phi Mu, so if you don't know the other sororities reps then I wouldn't put it down. Good Luck though!

thanks for your candid reply. that is exactly what I was thinking. If it is a decent house (I am assuming XO is) then the others will not want to "waste" as space on you. I have heard such good things about many of the houses at Auburn and plan on going thru with an open mind.
