sorority comments

the person below me could not be more wrong haha wait until rush week to make your judgements seniors, these web sites dont do any sorority justice, and most things written are not true:)

"Pay Attention Senior" was mostly right. I don't really know what each of the sororities grades are like but the other parts were pretty true. :)

Way to be a little bit of a bitty. you forgot several sororities including gamma phi, theta, sigma kappa and AXiD. to anybody rushing in the fall don't listen to her listen to your heart. each sorority has slightly different values whether its grades, sports, boys or sisterhood. You have to find the one for you. every sorority at auburn is strong and is at, close to, or above total so they are all a wonderful choice.

I'm going to try to tell the truth about each group without using any negative language.

Alpha Chi: sweet, conservative
ADPi: fun, outgoing girls with lots of personality
Alpha Gam: intelligent, accomplish a lot on campus
AOPi: involved, girl next door group
AZD: nice and true to themselves
Chi O: lots of natural beauties/classy
Tri Delt: pretty, traditional southern girls
DG: either cute and funny or pretty and shy
DZ: very social, cute girls
GPHIB: don't know any
KD: traditional, classy, and very competitive
KKG: nice
Pi Phi: very social and very pretty
Phi Mu: gorgeous pageant types who are usually nice to everyone
SK: genuine diverse group
Theta: new, diverse
Zeta: social, cutesy and down to earth

The nicest and prettiest girls on campus are Alpha Gam, Phi Mu, ADPi, and Chi-O. If you go to Auburn, you know this is true.

to even say that the nicest and the pretiest girls are in certain groups. My group is mentioned as one however, and I certainly think we have a lot of nice and pretty girls...but they ALL do! To try to act like, especiallly the NICIEST girls are in certain groups is quite silly. I don't think any of my sisters wrote that because it is really ridicuulous to even say it outloud. Love my group and I thibk we are the best, but so does every group on campus...or they should! WAR EAGLE!

Yes, I'm sure everyone with half a brain cell knows that not every single girl in a sorority is exactly the same. However, people tend to associate themselves with others who are more like them (in appearance, interests, background, etc.). Anyone who has taken a high school psychology class knows that. It's not 100% true 100% of the time but it is typical. So naturally, sororities are going to have girls with lots in common. No one ever said any group had the "prettiest" or the "nicest". But sororities are going to choose PNMs who they like and have common interests with. Also, PNMs are going to want to join a group of girls they like and have things in common with. So no, you can't type each girl by her sorority. But you can point out specific personality traits and you can expect a majority of the girls in a certain group to display those traits. If you're mad because someone said you have pretty or nice girls in your sorority then you need to learn to take a compliment with grace.

I think that the poster "Silly" was referring to the post "Nicest" below that states which groups are the nicest and prettiest. The correct statement would have been simply .."In my opinion...these are the nicest and etc...." All these posts are just one person's opinion. People do tend to gravitate toward those that have in common, but rush is different since many times you may not get who you want and you forge new friendships and new paths that combine all these personalities. All the groups are great...and let it stand at that.

with post below..they are all good and it is your own personal preference on which you like the most (which would be your own group of course). No one group has all the very nicest or the prettiest, that is personal opinion again, but there are many nice and pretty, and every other kind, in all the groups as a whole.
