sorority comments

All groups are great. Being happy is what matters. Last year Chi-O, Phi Mu and AGD seem to win everything. Phi Mu and Chi-O seem to be more social and best all around groups. I also think KD and AdPi are excellent. KD are the money girls and AGD are the highly intelligent, boring group.

This is it. AGD,Phi Mu,KD,and Chi-O have positioned themselves high above the others as being the IT girls. Adpi,Pi Phi and AOPI are the real #2's. If you can pledge one of these 7, you will be happy!

What is it about the sororities listed that makes them the "it" girls? Do they recruit differently or work harder to be in the spotlight? Is it just that they attract type "A" -- aggressive
(driven)-- personality girls? And I know that all the sororities have girls that fit that description...but, do these groups tend to have more of that type personality than maybe some of the others? If that is the case I think it makes a clear argument that there aren't any weak sororities at Auburn because awards have nothing to do with relationships in the sorority. I think winning everything on campus is admirable, but it doesn't mean that a group is "the best". Some PNM's are just looking for a group of sweet, fun girls to share their college experiences with. I think that the groups you listed are awesome, but so are all the other sororities on the list...each one is awesome in their own way. :)

to try to assign certain personality traits or characteristics to entire sororities. Saying things like "they are the social ones", "this group is intelligent, but boring", "these have the money", etc. does ALL of our groups a disservice. The truth is that you can find EVERY kind of personality in EVERY sorority on campus. There is no such thing as an entire mass of 200 plus women who are all the same. Like little robots. PNMs do not need to enter rush thinking that certain groups do certain things in a certain way. It's really just silly.

can someone please give me an honest list of the best sororities at auburn?

All are good...before you make your own list, you might want to wait and see who you get bids from. Making a list and then not getting what you want is frustrating, so whatever you get will be the best sorority!

All houses a GREAT. You WILL find sisters and support anywhere. Everyone's "ranking" will be a little different based on what that person views as the most important quality. For me, I think houses that are GENERALLY more friendly and classy types fit me over party types. Your idea may be totally different, and you'll love it and that's all that matters!

-This grouping is wonderful. The best all-around girls are in these houses to me. Row 1 is the more girl next door, classy and cute girls. Row 2 is a little more social and party girl. But not every girl is like that, just generally!-

-These have such a variety of great girls that there is something for everyone. Some of the nicest most down to earth girls you'll meet are in these great groups.-
Really there is something for EVERYONE at Auburn. Go in looking for your fit and be happy!
