sorority comments

stay off this site! the ratings in no way reflect the real rankings! go into recruitment with an open mind and positive attitude. all sororities are good here, it just depends what you want; some are better at grades, involvement, partying etc. it just depends what you want

It's mainly about connections, rec letters but in addition you also have to have a 4.0 and be super involved. Unless you just really stand out to a sorority you won't get in without connections. Every sorority girl has friends going through rush who take precedence over a random girl. Because of this a lot of the old traditional sororities that supposedly "everyone" wants practically have predetermined bid lists plus/minus a few girls. And that's the truth.

Everyone does not have to have a 4.0 to get into a group. It is great if you have a 4.0...but anything above a 3.4 is considered really good. There are lists from all the groups, but.. girls who may not have "connections" do get into many groups. Just go and let your eyes and mind stay open and look for the group that wants you and you want! If they match up...you will have found the group for you! Many small town girls and out of state girls pledge groups, so don't let that fear scare anyone. War Eagle!

I didn't know anyone in ANY of the groups and I pledged a great group!!!!! I had a good GPA, but it wasn't a 4.0 either. I have two friends that came through also and one pledged another good group and the other dropped out because she didn't get the one she wanted. She's regretted it ever since and wishes she'd tried the group that wanted her. I agree...give everyone a chance and try not to have preconceived ideas of what you want ahead of time. WAR EAGLE right back!

ChiO, AGD, AOPi AXO, KD, ADPi, and Phi Mu had the highest GPAs. These aren't the only good sororities at AU though. There aren't many sororities with a rep of being really too wild at Auburn. As the poster said below, there are all types of girls in every sorority and it depends on your personal definition of fun/social. It's good to get information, but go in with an open mind and see where you fit best! I know everyone keeps saying that, but it's TRUE!
