2011 pledge class: PhiMu has the most Atlanta girls with10, AOPi next with 6, DG and KD had around 4 and ChiO, PhiPi, SK, Zeta and DZ has about 2 or 3. The numbers are close but may not be exact. Hope that helps! Glad you asked the question because the result surprised me. I've always associated a certain sorority as having more Atlanta girls, and I was wrong (at least with this pledge class).

There are plenty of Georgia girls in all the groups. Come to rush and just see who bonds with who. All the groups are outstanding. Not every legacy will get what they want due to the fact that so many girls are legacies each year. Be prepared to look at each group rather than thinking you only want one particular group. That way, if it turns out that one does not get a bid to one, they may get one from another group. It can be stressful, but in the end you will hopefully get into a sorority that you will be happy in.

Girls from all over are in all the groups, so do not worry over who gets in from somewhere. In todays atmosphere of rush, it really has no bearing on where you are from. Just come and do not worry about location!

There are girls from all over in each group...area really does nto matter any longer with my group. All the groups have gotten quota the last few years, so a lot of girls from many sttes pledge all the groups when they come through.

Mom asked this question: Auburn grad from Atlanta. Daughter going to AU in fall. I see my sorority is still tops but need feedback; which ones have good number from atlanta area? The reply was an answer to her specific question not a debate on how many girls from Georgia or any other state get in a sorority!

No need to get all upset..all the mom has to do is look at last year's bid lists that are online and see for herself who got what and who went where.

It seems like the whole idea of tiers at Auburn is silly. All sororities make quota every year. Why would so many girls want to be in a "bottom" sorority? If you go to their web pages, except for one that seems to have ridiculously gorgeous girls, they are pretty similar in looks. So why do some insist on "ranking" and what do they base it on?

To continue, it looks like the "bottom" chapters are the newest on campus or ones that aren't traditionally southern. Dumb!
