we all know all the groups are good. I agree that we have good groups here. We probably don't need to jot them down each time...but here goes again!
The top tier sororities at Auburn, you would honestly be lucky to get a bid at any of them:
Alpha Chi
ADPi
Alpha Gam
AOII
AZD
Chi-O
DG
DZ
Gamma Phi
KD
Kappa
Phi Mu
Pi Phi
Sigma Kappa
Theta
Tri Delt
Zeta

I know that no sorority sucks at Auburn, but a lot of people have only negative things to say about Theta. Is it because they're new-ish and some of their girls are awkward or what? I want to go into rush with an open mind but my friends are telling me so many different things, so I want an opinion of an Auburn student! :)

they don't "suck", just in comparison to other groups they aren't as good! they are still getting their feet wet, and there are TONS of gorgeous, smart, involved, talented, sweet girls in Theta! My advice? Generic, but go through rush with an open mind. If you feel like you belong in Theta (or ANY of the sororities) and they offer you a bid...GO FOR IT! I know probably 3 girls ever that regret the choice they made, and it's usually because they went up reputation and not how THEY felt! Everything really does turn out great :) Best of luck, rush is so exciting!!

Do not go into rush with any pre-conceived ideas of which group you want since you may find yourself without the one that you wanted at some point during the week. Go into rush with an open mind and meet the girls. Don't get so upset if you do not get the group you want, it is a numbers game at times and has nothing to do with your looks/qualifications. If you go in with the attitude that you will not be happy if you only get the group your mom had, you might find yourself without a group at the end of the week.I was fortunate and got what I wanted from the beginning, but my two good friends did not. One was sad that she didn't get a bid from the group she wanted, but she has been so happy since she met everyone and has become very active, the other choose not to pledge anything and has been happy also. Good luck!
