by: InfoI'm transferring to Auburn as a senior next year so I can continue on at grad school. I'm in a house that is top tier at Auburn but lower tier at my school. How does the affiliation process happen at Auburn? Will that play a factor in my affiliation, even if I had grades, personality, looks, involvement, etc.? Thanks

You need to contact the president of your sorority's Auburn chapter and see what the process is for affiliating. It can vary from campus to campus. One of my sister's is affiliating with us this semester after transferring here Fall '14 (as a sophomore) from a really small school that only had two sororities. Our chapter here is about five times bigger and considered top tier, but nobody had any issues with letting this sister affiliate. The only thing was that she had to wait a semester. I'm not sure if that is my sorority's policy or if it's an Auburn Panhellenic one. Sorry, I should know that but I really don't! If you run into that, though, and you're transferring as a senior, you won't even have a year as an active with the chapter here before going alum. Not sure if that'll be a problem, but the chapter president is who you need to reach out to for an answer. Good luck!
