transferring

by: help

I read on another post that sophomores are unlikely to receive a bid... Why is that? What are the chances of getting a bid from a "middle-upper tier" sorority? I want to transfer from another university and have a good GPA. At other schools sophomores have no problems rushing. Thanks for any help.

Certain sororities simply don't take sophomores; however, recruitment is a lot nicer to transfers than to girls who've been around for a year. Congratulations on your grades, I know my sorority takes a much stronger look at a sophomore's GPA. Also, SK, AOP, KKG, KAT, DG, and DDD all took sophomores this year for a fact. I know there might be a few more, but that's all I know off the top of my head.

DG has taken sophomores in the past but not this year during rush. I doubt they'll participate in COB this year either. They had a really competitive rush and filled all their spots and haven't have any NMs drop so far.
