tiers
by: HeyHave the tiers always remained relatively the same throughout the years?
#1 by: Yeah
AGD, ADPi, Phi Mu, Chi O, and KD have always been top tier. Many argue that Pi Phi and/or Aloha Chi now belong in the top tier category, which is valid. Other sororities like Zeta, Gamma Phi, DZ, and AZD have moved up higher in the middle tier. Kappa and Theta have been consider by most to be bottom tier for a while, though Kappa is making progress.
#2 by: Umm
Mostly? The top party sororities are PM/KD, and now PBP. The top "good girl" sororities are XO, AGD, and now ADP and AXO. Middle party is like ZTA, DDD, and now GPB has moved up, and middle "good girl" is like AOP, DG, and KKG has moved up. Idk where to put DZ, but they're in the middle somewhere as well, tey've been making huge strides in grades and involvement. Then there's like SK/AZD/KAT.
#3 by: The main tiers
for the highest have only been: KD, AGD, ADPi and PM due to such large legacy classes that come through. The rest are all the same no matter how hard you try to differentiate them and anyone would be happy to get a bid to any of them. AXO is nice but definitely not high tier. Sorry.
#5 by: Same
for years. The older groups have so many legacies they can just pick who they want (sorry AXO, not in that group as much as you want to be.) But, on the upper hand, due to the fact that there are so many legacies, the over flow comes over to all the rest so great girls are spread out to everyone. Those legacies who come in with mothers from other colleges and who do not know anyone when they come through rush are just as wonderful as those whose mothers push for the sororities to take their daughters in because they went to school at AU. (You might have a chance if you are a legacy, but your mother didn't go to AU IF you have enough friends and alums to get you in!)
#6 by: Traditional TopTier
I know people hate on the traditional top tier sororities at Auburn, but the reality is they are top tier and have their pick of girls during recruitment. That doesn't mean that the other sororities at Auburn aren't excellent as well. Not everyone wants the top traditional sororities. Many want a different experience and choose other great sororities. KD, PhiMu, ADPi, ChiO, and AGD are all amazing and well recognized throughout campus as having classic beauties who are smart and active on campus......but, you can say that for most of Auburn's sororities now.
#7 by: ZTA
Has made amazing strides considering their past history. They were rock-bottom decades ago and closed for numbers in 1970, then recolonized in 1976. They also struggled in the late '80s/early '90s and were reorganized by their national in 1993 -- all the actives were forced to go alum in the spring and a new chapter was recruited the next fall.
