They look pretty good. I am not a theta but have friends that are so of course i had to stalk their bid day pics. Theta has come a long way over the past few years and deserves more credit than some people give them.

Theta has a lot of really sweet, genuine girls, but they also end up with all the leftovers... they're a bit of catch-all, some girls are amazing, and some girls just... aren't.

Pretty bad....but they're happy so that's all that matters

The problem with Theta is that it is the sorority that always takes the people that are left over and can never be selective. AXiD is also kind of like that. KKG and SK both used to be like that but have taken giant strides the past few years and gotten some fantastic pledge classes, allowing them to be more selective. Unfortunately since they've moved up it will be hard for AXID and Theta to do the same since SOMEONE has to be bottom, but like @hmm said at least they are happy

Leave Theta alone! They have a strong sisterhood with amazing members. Theta is a national powerhouse, so they will have top PNMS who want that connection. Wrong to stereotype hundreds of girls. Anyone suggesting such nonsense must feel threatened by Theta's success.

"Theta's success" a girl in my group was bawling her eyes out because Theta was the only one she had left, and she honestly didn't feel like she connected with any of the girls in the parties, with a lot of awkward pauses and silences. She decided to stick it out and try it, but she hasn't been happy yet, and I'm praying she finds girla to connect with. Two others dropped from recruitment because they were in the same boat, although one did it simply because she didn't want the reputation and stigma attached to Theta's name here, which is admittedly, incredibly shallow. The other knew that she simply wouldn't be happy there, and wasn't about to fork over the money for what made her miserable, which is understandable, although she should have given theta the chance. You want to tell me Theta is the place to be, you're lying. It's a catch-all, and there are some amazing girls in there, but there are also those who are simply "left-over", and girls know that coming in. Personally, I loved Theta's Rush, except on the first day when they said "think theta", and I put them as my second choice, because the girl who preffed me was indeed one of the amazing, down to earth girls theta has to offer, but the value of theta isn't that they're "great" or "awesome", it's that they stuck with the sorority regardless of reputation, and care about each other with actual sisterhood, and honestly theta should stop trying to talk themselves up or anything like that, because their strength is that

They are who they are, irregardless of what anyone else thinks, and no ine can take that away from them.

Theta ends up with the most genuine, down to earth, and accepting girls, because those are the ones who decide to stick through with the sorority despite the hate and reputation, and because they tend to have a lot of girls who are nowhere near the stereotypical "sorority girl" personality or looks. They tend to have a lot closer sisterhood due to the outside barrage of insults. That being said, I don't think Theta can say that they're "on the rise", since every sorority has received better and better girla as the years go on; but they'll always have a genuine connection to their letters, irregardless of letters, and that's something they should be damn proud of.

You know when you come into rush that there is a huge chance you will not get the group you want, in fact there is a chance that you will not get anything, especially if you cut yourself out by thinking you can only be happy with one or two groups. It boils down to this, if you have a chance to pledge a group, even if they are what you consider "low" and you have no other choice, then you can either be part of the sorority scene or you can not take the bid. There are plenty of organizations to join, but they are not a sorority. If you don't think you can be happy, don't pledge...its that simple. I know plenty of girls who pledged a group they knew nothing about, many found happiness. I know a lot who pledged the group they "HAD TO HAVE" and the they were unhappy. All the groups do offer sisterhood and friendship, so make a decision and try to work with it before you give up. (If you were dropped during rush from your favorite group and you are holding on to the dream that they will take you in open rush, it usually does not happen.)

kind of person describes any human being as "leftovers"? There is no such concept except in the minds of depraved people. Your thinking dehumanizes others who have feelings, value, and worth, who are a new part of the Auburn community. Your term is hateful and you should be ashamed of slandering newcomers that you do not even know. I hope you are not at Auburn as you just spread hate to a wonderful campus. I am not a Theta, but I know many of the members, and I admire them and their sisterhood. These hate comments need to end now.
