chi omega
by: KatI was wondering if is it easier to get into Chi Omega if you are a legacy? Are you almost guaranteed a bid?

legacies come through for most group to EVER guarantee a bid. Most nationals just say that a sorority should invite a legacy back for the first party as a favor to the mother or sister of the legacy....no on HAS to take anyone, nor is there any such rule that dictates such a decision. To not invite back after the first invitational is normal, after the second invitational, then many sororities DO have rules about informing their national and perhaps the relative involved. (Legacy can be tricky as some groups do not consider anyone other than a mother or sister as a direct legacy and anyone else would only just be a distant legacy connection.)

I'm a legacy who went Chi Omega this year. Here is how it works:
They guarantee to keep you through the first round (you will get asked back from philanthropy round).
After that, you're just like everyone else. They DO NOT have to take you in they ask you back for pref round.
