going to parties
by: CuriousBeen hearing that "so and so" throws good parties. Is anyone allowed to go to the fraternity parties? How does that work. Does it vary for each fraternity?

Every house is required to put their registered parties as "Invite Only"
Some houses will let anyone in, others won't.
Beta, KA, Snu, and others will usually let anyone walk in. Theta Chi and a few others are known to make their security be more strict on who they let in.
If your a girl you can walk in any band party, guys it's best to talk to a brother in that fraternity first and ask

All date parties are closed. Most band parties like with Sigma Nu, Beta, and KA are open all night. Theta Chi keeps their parties open until it gets packed out, then they close it and you have to be on their list to get in I believe. I think a few others including Fiji do it like that also.

The Theta Chi, Fiji, etc parties are open all night for girls. The list only comes into play for guys.

Do I get on these "lists" do I just text a brother and say "get is it cool if I come to. ____ on Saturday"

for the info. I know brothers in both SNu and Beta so hopefully that helps. Was just curious. I'm rushing but not necessarily to "top tier" fraternities but I have friends that have already accepted at some top ones.
