religion

I realize all of the sorority's are based on Christian morals and beliefs. I'm not a Christian so will that lessen my chance of getting a bid? I do not plan on talking about this during rush. Also if I do get a bid will I feel out of place for not being a Christian?

I am the least religious person you'll ever meet and I got through and I love it. I've never thought for one second that sorority's are all based on Christian values by any means. Every pledge class will have the Jesus lovers and the nonbelievers, but it's not going to affect how you do during recruitment

Thanks so much. It's a relief hearing that.

All are based on Christian beliefs, but if you feel comfortable not believing in the foundation principles of what you sorority is built on, then you might can pull it off.

No one can answer for the bases of all the houses. In my house I can't think of one thing that is overtly "Christian."

Do you mind telling me which sorority you're in?

All greek life is christian based on some level (or some religion) but it is only seen as a formality in 95% of them, i.e. FH. Sororities have 200 members though so I couldnt see it being a problem. That being said, I hate religion and am a atheist, but i love AU and i would never tell anyone that because we are in ALABAMA. Just dont tell anyone.

Some houses have more of an emphasis on religion than others; howver, each sorority has a mix of all types and is very welcoming and accepting
