How many sophomores do you think get a bid each year?
Is there a difference in a sophomore that didn't go thru rush last year and one that did?

Wish Panhellenic would release that information. I think it could be helpful. I know a few transfer sophomores received bids last year, but they were in-house legacies.

There's six sophomores in my pledge class who received bids, and I know of SK and AOP offering bids to sophomores as well. However, panhellenic has not released official numbers regarding this information, or numbers on what it is like to go through recruitment twice.

if you are going thru as a sophomore think about other clubs. it is highly unlikely you will get a bid from any sorority. just forget it and get involved in other clubs or sports.

I went through recruitment last year as sophomore, and I had DZ, AOP, and SK left on the last day, and a nearly full schedule for most of recruitment. This poster is mean and hateful and not at all representative of Auburn. It is a lot more difficult to go through as a sophomore, simply because most of the questions girls are trained to ask you are geared towards freshmen, so you will have to bring up that you're a sophomore, but only a few sororities cannot take sophomores, and only a few don't want to take them. Get rec letters, try to develop relationships inside the house, and most importantly, GET YOUR GRADES TOGETHER. Sororities pay a LOT more attention to a Sophomore's grades, since they already know what college life is like. You'll be fine and I hope to see you on the other side!

Not really. Lots of sophomores get bids. If you have a good GPA and are generally a normal social girl theres a good chance KAT will give you a bid

Transfer students have a slightly easier time going through rush than girls who went through recruitment last year, simply because they can answer questions are you excited about Auburn, how was move in, did you get tickets, etc, and because no one recognizes them or has a preconceived notion. Girls DO REMEMBER girls who rush twice, so be careful. A lot of them know if they didn't want you the first time around, and if you didn't want them. It gets awkward. Girls from your Pi Chi group the first time you rushed will DEFINITELY remember you and it will be weirder talking to them during recruitment if you haven't kept up with them and explained why you went back through. Many will think that everyone dropped you the first time, even if you withdrew on your own. Smile, wish for the best, and make sure you have someone rooting for you on the other side.
