Cob bid difficulty

Bids could be difficult depending on the sorority you are interested in out of the few participating in COB.

AXID, PIPHI, THETA, and TRI SIGMA are all participating in COB, but they have very few bids to give out. They are all listed on the Panhellenic website. They could COB bids to 3 girls or as much as 15. It depends on how many girls they need to hit quota. Some of these sororities would only COB girls they know. For example, I believe AXID and Pi Phi might have events but they know which girls they are going to COB at the end of the day. But COB is hard because it is still selective. ZTA, GPHi, SK, DZ, AOII have all COB in the past but have no plans for it this semester. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to speak down on a chapter for COB (even though COB is not a bad thing. People just view it as chapters not having good retention).

Although COB is more chill, you still need to put your best foot forward and interact with the sisterhood. It would be easier to COB if you already knew a girl in that chapter or if their Recruitment chair or COB Chair directly contacted you or followed you on social media.

Give it a shot 100%!! Some of my closest friends in my chapter are COBS! Follow the chapters on social media! Let it be known that you want to COB their chapter and present some interest! Still try to be yourself and have fun! If you aren’t selected for a bid, don’t beat yourself up about it! Good luck!!
