Advice on leaving sorority

Any advice on best approach to leave a sorority at Auburn? I know the specific steps probably depends on the sorority, but should I start by sending them an email? Do I need to let Panhellenic know as well?
Any advice from someone who’s done this would be very great.

Notify your chapter president or vp membership chair, or both, by email and flag it for a read receipt. Make sure to include the time frame it would be effective and the reason. Also include if you want to go inactive, go alum status, or turn in your pin forever. There is no need to contact panhellenic, the chapter handles membership reports to them. Sorry you feel this way.
