recruitment advice

DO NOT pay attention to the negative things written on this site! I have seen some of the worst things said about all of the sororities on campus. It's awful! I am a rising junior and I did NOT look at this site before my recruitment, thank goodness. I genuinely came to Auburn just hoping to get a bid. I was very prepared in terms of rec letters, etc... I loved my recruitment experience because I met the girls first before deciding where I thought I would fit. I was lucky enough to have a full invitation list every round. Looking back now I know I had a full list because I went in without wanting a particular list of sororities and did my best to enjoy everyone. My best advice is to seriously enjoy your experience and let the process work.

There are very few differences in all the sororities except the names. Some are more well known than others, but Auburn is blessed to have 17 very good sororities that are rated high locally and on a national level. You can be proud to be any of them. The biggest let down I see is when girls come through is deciding what they want BEFORE they go through rush and they don't get that particular group. Look at ALL the groups! A lot of sorority legacies come through, but no group can take all their legacies. It's just not statistically possible. Please come with an open mind and heart...if you don't get grandma's, mom's or your sister's sorority, try to stay focused and look at all the others! You can start a new legacy with a new sorority of your own.
