Fall 2024 Sorority Rankings(with explanations)

My creds are that I’m in a sorority and have been at auburn for 3 years.
They're in order within their groups but you could also switch the ones in the top 2/3 levels without too many problems.
Top:
ADPi: really desired by in state girls, very rare that you get in without having a good connection. Their reputation is nice girls, very religious. Not that involved on campus(except Panhellenic), so some people don't think they deserve the top spot.
Phi Mu: textbook pretty blonde girls. Mostly take southern girls but took a decent amount of out of state last year. Reputation is generally a bit stuck up(more so than other top sororities). Their PC 23 wasn't great so come consider them falling.
KD: Basically have their entire PC picked out before rush even starts. Pretty girls who are generally involved but otherwise I haven't heard too much about them.
Upper Mid:
AGD: This one will probably be controversial but I think AGD is overhyped. Desired by in state girls so they would say it's top but no one else really wants to go them. Very into school and super religious, also a little awkward sometimes. Be prepared to not be allowed at the bar for most of the year if you rush them.
Zeta: Known for getting pretty girls, but aren't that consistent. I have met some very pretty, nice, and involved Zetas but also some really weird ones that you wonder how they made it through rush. Usually does COB(continuous open bidding, though they didn't this year) so that could be why. Overall decently involved, and have a generally good reputation. Takes mostly southern girls.
Pi Phi: Very big for out of state girls(jersey, ny, etc). They love influencers and girls with big social media presence. They're also known for being described as 'hot' rather than the ADPi type of 'pretty'. They're known for being big partiers, so if that's something you're looking for they would be a good choice. PC 23 was good so could be rising.
GPhi: The other desired one for out of state girls. Lots of southern out of state as well as northern. Very outgoing girls known for being pretty, and like PiPhi are known for partying, though not as extreme. Their PC 23 was probably one of the best, so I would say they're rising. There's also a good amount of southern/in-state girls starting to go GPhi which could be an indicator that they'll move up in the coming years.
Mid:
DDD: Some would argue they belong in upper mid, and they could move there pretty easily. Pretty girls, don't have one specific type of reputation. Outgoing, known for fun date parties and generally good frat relations. I would put them in mid just because PC 23 was a mixed bag, some great girls who would've died if they didn't go Tridelt and some weird ones. Historically good reputation, so with a good PC 24 they could easily move up.
XO: This one will definitely be controversial. They used to be way higher but have dealt with some scandals and were on Social Probation for a while, so they have really small numbers right now. The only XOs I know have dropped because they had no good events and their reputation just took too big of a hit in the past two years to be upper mid going into 2024 rush. Could move back up if rush goes well.
AXO: lots of southern girls. Very ambitious, involved girls, probably have the best test bank out of any sorority. They're known to have nicely curated instagrams and generally seem to be nice.

Lower mid:
DG: Good national reputation. Some might put AOPi over DG but I think PC 23 was really good for them and they tend to have very chill, down to earth girls. I would describe them as the most 'normal' girls, they don't have one set reputation. They know how to have fun, but aren't all crazy partiers. They're pretty and also have a wide range of majors. This is your best bet if you're looking for a fun sorority that isn't very strict and is a little more low-maintenance.
AOPi: Very different from DG, almost the opposite. Kind of high-maintenance and also very strict, especially about grades. They have some very chill, fun, pretty girls, but they also have some girls that seem very uptight. Good reputation with southern girls.
SK: Doesn't have the best reputation with in-state because they have a lot of out of state and don't really give typical sorority girl vibe. They are all very nice and super chill, if you see a group of them they just seem like a normal group of friends who aren't flaunting their sorority. They know how to have fun and the sorority itself seems low-maintenance. Would be higher but they tend to randomly get a few really weird girls that drag down their rep.
DZ - always have big PCs, and are all so sweet and fun to hang out with. Least judgmental people ever and are known to be very nice and involved. They do a lot of Fall COB, so if you don't like your options during rush DZ is usually a good after-the-fact option. They have lots of events and seem to have fun. A decent amount of religious girls and definitely as a whole don't party a lot but the ones who want to do. Not super strict.
Upper Bottom:
AXiD - Would usually be above DZ, but their PC 23 was crazy. So much drama, so many girls who dragged down their reputation. Their older girls are really good, like some of them preffed AXiD as well as PhiMu or AGD, but their incoming classes have put them in the 'falling' category.
KAO - nice girls, just haven't seen them be involved. Some are a bit weird, but they're pretty and very sweet.
KKG - only sorority that doesn't have any fines. Low maintenance, least bar rules. Some super normal and nice girls, some weird ones. The normal ones tend to drop as they get older if they don't get into leadership.
Bottom:
SSS - newest sorority on campus, so still building their numbers. Honestly got some surprisingly good girls in PC 23 so could be on the rise. They were super outgoing and involved on campus this year, and are genuinely the nicest girls ever as a group, which is hard to say about any sorority.
Let me know what y'all think! As everyone will tell you, the rankings aren't as important as finding your right fit and your group of girls! Don't force yourself into a sorority that doesn't match your energy just to get a 'better' one. I had so many friends that did this and they either dropped or wanted to because they didn't vibe with the girls in the sorority they joined that was supposed to be better.

As another senior, I would definitely agree with this all, however, I would put pi phi and gphi above zeta. Both pi phi and gphi had great new pcs who are known for being super pretty and involved/social and with more out of state students coming to Auburn, they are definitely going to be super desirable during rush this year.

Pretty accurate - as for the tops, agree adpi is top and deserve it. I think they are pretty involved all around - especially this year. Not sure what criteria you meant outside of Panhellenic? Anyway, also Kd, other end of the spectrum, do absolutely zero. Definitely need to be moved down. Girls that go Kd go into rush knowing it.Some switch to another house, but mostly, they are just the same girls from the same schools. Clones. Phi Mu - don’t get the hype. Known for not taking girls from the more “prestigious “ schools - not the flex they think it is and it showed this year. Agd - should def be up. Some traditional middle glam girl sororities moving up too. XO - lost favor with those top girls at this point. Interesting to see pc 24 - make or break. Tri delt - seem way better. SK - seemed like they had a really good pc the year before me and downhill from there.

Looking at PC 24, this still stands. Agd and adpi killed with their PCs. KD - same old, same old. XO - what happened to the good ole days when they were just a little granola and a little Bible? Now they’re just plain weird. Put those mops away - that’s embarrassing. Phi Mu - blonde and indistinguishable. Next. Interesting to see how zeta and pi phi and gphi shakes out. OG post pretty spot on. A ton of pnm, so maybe everyone made their quota.
