Tri sig getting replaced by Aphi?
by: BootsnifferI heard a rumor that tri sig isn't gonna be on campus next year bc they couldnt get a enough new members. All the girls they should've gotten ended cobing at DZ, Theta, KKG. so Aphi is replacing them. Anyone know the validity if this?

Not true. Aphi has tried to come to campus twice and the second time every sorority has voted against bid extension. The high ups in Greek life don’t want them here. They gave dumb answers to easy questions - during the interview portion they were asked what they can add to auburn’s campus…. They didn’t have an answer. Tri sig is doing fine, it’s just a smaller sorority and there’s nothing wrong with that.

As a Tri Sigma that went to one of the APhi meetings, this is not true what so ever. Other commenter is right that they did not give thoughtful answers to questions that were asked by Greek life members and they were kind of condescending. The other reason I believe APhi did not come to campus is because we don't have a spot for them right now, and Tri Sigma does not appear to be on the chopping block. We're doing just fine and in fact we actually were able to get a ton of COB girls this past semester and are planning on continuing this trend because our new recruitment director/old COB director has done a really good job at pushing this for us. Our nationals also came to visit in November right before the semester ended and said we're doing a good job.

Well they primarily recruit based on hotness, so not surprised they didn’t have an answer for what they’d bring to campus.
Source: their recruitment algorithm was released a couple years ago by a disgruntled Recruitment Director & their alums were also upset about it. There was even an IG account run by alums who were upset about the national org’s priorities.
