more rec questions

Do the sororities just check if a PNM has a rec, or do they really look at WHO wrote the rec?

But, usually in most cases it would be because there was a question if someone wrote a "bad" rec, or there was a discrepancy from someone about a girl. Best answer would be to stay honest, it wouldn't end up well if there was a fake rec given. That would be the one that got checked!

Thanks for your help. I would never try and fake a rec. I was really wondering if an "active" alum rec vs an alum who s not active would have more weight.

Does hold some weight (in some cases) is whether the rec writer is an alum from the Auburn chapter vs. another school.
