Anybody else disappointed

by:

So, I didn’t land where I wanted. I’m pi phi and will try and make the best of it but thought I’d be much higher tier, not mid-bottom.

Anybody else go through rush and a little disappointed? I think i need some words of encouragment or something right about now.

Here's some: quit right now so that someone who wanted your bid can have it. Troll.

A lot of folks are hurting or confused with their bids. Show a little patience and love.

I’ve actually heard this same story with pi phi before, it just wasn’t what girls thought it was but by no means should tier matter. If that’s bothering you it’s a you problem

Thanks for being honest.

Naming the sorority you didn't want, if you're not a troll, is a jerk move. So is calling them mid-bottom.

My tough love advice is if you’re more focused on the rank of the sisterhood that chose you, rather than the quality of the girls or the experience you can get, then you never should have gone through the process. You get out what you give in - if you put time and effort into these girls, then you’ll get a lot out by the time you graduate. But evaluating an entire group of girls on rank alone is shallow and an unfortunate byproduct of bama rushtok. When no one is filming these girls will still be your sisters, and they are the ones who extended a bid to you. No one else.

In my opinion Pi Phi isn't the greatest sorority, with its reputation, but if they gave you a bid, then you need to try it or drop if you don't like it before initiation

While you think you should’ve been in a “higher tier,” those higher tier groups didn’t think so. They didn’t ask you back. You( and all the other PNMs) are lucky that you got a bid, period. The sororities have much more experience evaluating who will be a good fit for their chapter and are good at doing that. Pi Phi offered you a bid because they like you and felt you have something to contribute to the chapter. Furthermore, they’re a good chapter, certainly not lower tier as you said. So you have two choices: either be grateful for your Pi Phi bid and work hard to fit in, make friends within the chapter , or drop out, so that Pi Phi can fill your spot with someone who would be grateful for your bid.

And as someone said, return all your bid day swag if you drop.

Do you want to be a top tier girl? Then go be one. Your letters aren't what people here look at. Be cute and sweet and fun and a good friend and you will be a top tier girl. You will have friends and boys and people will be glad to see you wherever you go.

Too late for that one. If she is legit (not a troll) she will be a Debby Downer for her PC, and probably passive-aggressive resentful to the whole group.

Don’t pledge if you’re not happy there. Too expensive to just settle. Find other social outlets

Auburn rush is notoriously very unpredictable. And there are always lots of disappointments. Nothing new for Auburn Rush. Sadly.
