do ranks even matter especially for sororities?

i just dont get the point of ranks. it seems subjective and arbitrary.
if also just looks obvious on who is voting for themselves like none of this matters outside of college bro

I think the ranks are more so based on how hard the sorority is to get into rather than who is the most popular. Because we don't have houses at auburn, our panhellenic system is much more of a community than other schools, such as alabama. Once you get on campus here, it doesn't matter who is in what sorority honestly. Adpi and kd are considered "top tier" because they are just harder to get into. That doesn't necessarily make them any better than the middle tier sororities, its just that the ones in the middle are more willing to be open with who they give bids to.
