Are recommendation letters the most looked at thing when deciding who to drop or give a bid to?

But each sorority handles recs differently. NOT having a rec could get you cut in a competitive recruitment like Auburn.

Make sure you have at least one or two recs per sorority. If you are an in-state girl try to get Auburn alumnae to write your recommendations, but if that isn't possible just make sure to get one. Recommendations are not going to insure a bid, but it "helps" you to stay in during the early rounds.
