Out of State chance at kd or adpi?
by: Out of StateIf you don't know anyone but have great grades, extracurriculars .. what are your chances of getting kd or adpi or even phi Mu? Those seem to be the cutest girls who still have fun but don't know if that's even an option. I will get loads of RIFS for each but does that matter? AGD seems like only Alabama girls so I know that's not a good choice for me but are these the same?

Look, Auburn rush is wacky. You have to have an active specifically looking out for you in the top sororities or you do not get in.

Unfortunately KD and ADPI are just that way but for KD if they do take out of state girls which usually it’s just a few a lot of them end up feeling unwelcome and maybe even dropping bc most of those girls knew eachother in highschool. I haven’t heard the same about ADPI so maybe they are more welcoming but they still don’t take but maybe a few out of state girls and they are probably from Georgia. Phi mu has a very healthy number of out of state girls! Just depends where your priorities lie. Don’t go into rush with a specific sorority in mind all of them are really really amazing. I love mine and they honestly weren’t even on my radar because they aren’t very active on social media. I’m an out of state girl so I relied a little too heavily on social media and found that one’s I thought I’d love weren’t so great and ones I wasn’t super interested in ended up being in my top!

All of this. Phi mu best bet for out of state and welcoming. KD is mt brook 13 grade. Girls that can’t seem to leave their bubble - what’s the point? Adpi has a good mixture of girls - but mostly instate and Atlanta - I think they like Mt brook girls too but are more selective from what I can tell.

As a girl who went through rush this year and got my first choice with 0 connections and of state. You need to go in with LOW expectations and keep an open mind. I did not have the schedule I wanted preference day. I got my first choice and 4th choice. The one I wanted to be my second on pref even bid promised me and hugged me at the door. You can NOT have your eyes only set on one old southern top sorority because they will let the Al girls and legacies in before you most likely. Keep your options open truly.

She is right. Auburn’s rush is legendary for being disappointing, even for in- state girls.

Why would you want to be in either of those if you were from oos? With small exception they’re all AL girls who don’t want to branch out from their hs social cliques.
