Should I Suicide Bid?
by: pnmI have one house that I absolutely love and another house I feel indifferent to, and I am worried that I won’t get a bid from the one I love. I def had a connection with the girls in the house I love, but I am just extremely worried about getting dropped no matter what from the one I love. I just dont see myself in the other house
#1by: well..
How would you feel not getting a bid at all? That is the chance you are taking with suiciding. You will be left out of everything and watching all your fellow pnm's have so much fun in their new sororities. Can you handle that? Your #1 would not be turning around and giving you a COB this semester either. So consider 2 things: 1) If you take your #1 house completely out of consideration, is it possible that you were so blinded by them that you didn't give your #2 house a real chance? Could you try if that's where you land? 2) If you don't match to your #1, you are likely to get your #2; however, on the chance you don't match with #2 either, then you are more likely to be placed with your #1.

I wish I would have SIP’d. Didn’t like my 2nd choice going into bid day (what a nightmare day- there was no joy opening that envelope and I just couldn’t fake it) and hated it after getting my big. Everyone in my “family” acted like they either hated our chapter or felt like they were too good to be there which to me was just weird. I eventually dropped- and no one even asked me why or tried to ask me stay- and I have a 3.8 GPA and paid dues without fail. Now I wish I would have just suicided and tried my luck with COB. My advice- go with your gut and take these ranks with a grain of salt.

Your comment "pref both" makes absolutely no sense. She will pref wherever her schedule tells her to pref. OP is talking about a SIP. You have no idea what you are talking about and you're on here giving advice?
