Really this is just kinda a way to say bye, but if they’re making a point to say it then they probably do really want you back. They’re supposed to stay away from comments like that though since it could be looked at as “bid-promising”

"Again" or "soon" is ambiguous, and could mean anything, like see you in class or around or whatever. It's just being polite. What would you have them say?
