In state vs Out of State Sororities+Summaries 2022

EVERYONE will have a different opinion. What a female from Birmingham thinks is “top” is not what a frat boy from california will think. The joy of rush is finding somewhere YOU love.Here is a positive summary in no particular order:


The “In-State” or “Super Southern Sororities”:
These sororities are considered “old row”. You’ll see most of your southern belle girls. Many of the girls have known each other prior to Auburn. Seen as the “ring before spring” girls:

Chi Omega- I’d describe them as the “artsy Christian’s” they’re a pretty serious sorority with well rounded girls.

Alpha Delta Pi- KD and ADPI are very similar. They are kind of legacy oriented in the sense that their moms, grandmas etc. we’re in these sororities. Mostly wear poofy sleeves and expensive skirts to the bars. Very Christian.

Phi Mu- One of the most talked about sororities. I’d say 98% are from Alabama or Georgia. They always look their best. Typically stick within their groups but are kind to everyone.

Kappa Delta- These girls bleed green. They are very proud to be KD’s. On the stricter side compared to others.

Alpha Gamma Delta- Very Christian and very, smart. Sweet and pretty girls but if you’re not super interested in what most of their girls are it’s probably not the place for you.

The In-State/Very southern sororities mixed with out of state/relaxed vibes: The North Carolina of sororities. Not completely southern or completely northern. A healthy blend of people. These tend not to be talked about too much/never really hear anything negative!

Alpha Chi Omega- Similar values to ADPI or AGD mixed with OOS girls. I’d consider them smart and well respected.

Alpha Omicron Pi- Don’t hear much about them but I have never met a mean one in any of these sororities listed. A lot of beautiful girls who branch out.

Delta Gamma- Very sweet bunch. A lot of southern girls but everyone’s so kind and accepting that anyone could feel welcome.

Tri Delta- Similar to the others they fly under the radar but normal and kind group.

Alpha Xi Delta- Don’t know much about them but again a very normal and sweet blend of girls.

The “Out of State” sororities- These are more inclusive sororities with girls from all over.

Pi Beta Phi- The most stunning girls. They’re known as the influencer sorority full of girls who know how to have a good time and look like models while doing it. Guys seem to always gravitate towards them but overall super nice and genuine girls. Very laid back sorority.

Kappa Kappa Gamma- Very laid back and normal group. Not too many rules and everyone seems super welcoming.

Tri Sigma- The SWEETEST girls. They are joked about but clearly by people who don’t know them. A newer sorority, inclusive to all walks of life.

Delta Zeta-Laid back vibe with normal girls who like to have a good time. These girls never make anyone feel like they’re not beautiful or worthy.

Zeta Tau Alpha- Are proud to be Zeta’s. Lots of cliques but has stunning girls. Very OOS and guys like them.

Sigma Kappa- They love to have fun. Definitely party a lot but make sure everyone is having fun and feels welcome. Superrrr laid back.

Gamma Phi Beta- Like Pi Phi & Zeta. Very sweet and well rounded girls. Has some stunning girls and lots of different personalities.

Kappa Alpha Theta- Not super talked but very normal and kind. Mostly northern laid back girls.
