I would do some quick research/googling on all of the sororities. Several now allow self introduction and several allow the recs to be written by anybody that knows you-like a friend of your parents, boss, teacher-somebody like that.
Have you/your mom posted on FB saying you are going through recruitment at Auburn and looking for recs and listed all the chapters?
If you haven't done those things, I would try. Ultimately it's up to the sorority to find a rec if they need one for you buy it can make it easier.
They are kind of like extra credit. But if you don't have any-just go in with an open mind and be yourself.

Men know sorority women too! Parents' friends and coworkers, neighbors, teachers and coaches...you'd be surprised. Go to each sorority's national site and see what their rec policy is. I know it's a pain but spend the hour and make a spreadsheet and know what's what to ease your mind. And Panhellenic this is for you - maybe update this information for PNM's and put all the sororities individual rec policies up for everyone to see? And decrease the stress level?

Yes, do some research and find out what each chapter's rec policy is by going to each of their national websites. Then, for those sororities that still want a rec, start asking your neighbors, ladies you might have babysat for, the parents of your friends, your teachers (yes, all the way back to kindergarten), ladies at church, parents of girls you are/were in extracurricular activities with(dance, art classes, vacation bible school, traveling VB league, etc), girls from your HS who you know pledged. Have your parents ask their friends and their co-workers. Have your relatives ask people they know. I guarantee that someone you know is a sorority member of knows someone who is. Once you find that one person, they might know some ladies in other sororities who could help you out. Get to work!

Many sororities now accept recs from writers who aren't alums but who know the pnm well. Teachers and counselors etc.
