i dont care about rank or prestige honestly just a group of girlfriends because i never had that in highschool. i worry that being a poc and not blonde or on the higher tax bracket means that i wont fit in but would love to know yalls experience!

I’d definitely at least give it a try and see how you feel. And don’t let you being POC hold you back from trying! There are several sororities that are diverse and have many different backgrounds and some of them even have girls who are POC who have leadership positions in the sorority (like mine) so please don’t be scared to try it out because of your race. Just keep an open mind to all the sororities and go with what your gut says

If you go in with an open mind, you will find a place. GPA does come into place especially in the first round. Put your best foot forward and be open.
Are you saying you're living on a sorority hall or just in a dorm that also has sororities? If sororities don't fill the space on the hall, they can either pay for the empty rooms or turn them in. I always think it's silly when the girls refuse to live on the hall-I loved it!

Please give it try. I met one of my best friends in my rush group! Ended up in different sororities but it was a great opportunity to meet lots of friends.

You should rush just so you can meet people

Me and my roomates last year had the same thing happen. It ended up being fine but we never really made friends with other girls on the hall. A lot of freshman end up being close with their neighbors and people living in rooms around theirs but we didn’t have this. It was definitely better then living in the hill so it was fine but i definitely didn’t really meet anyone else in the dorm.
