ADPi, AGD or KD

by:

Is it possible to get in alpha gam, adpi or kd if you are not from Birmingham or Atlanta? I don't know anyone in those but I feel like that is what everyone is telling me I should focus on? I am out of state with no one from my high schools in any sorority there. I am keeping an open mind but want to have realistic expectations.

Yes the girls from Birmingham and Atlanta are known but remember there are TONS of them. So it is helpful being from out of state sometimes because it makes you different but you do have to know someone in house or be a big legacy if you are oos for the ones you mentioned... but there are 15 other great sororities and you will land in the perfect place.

Yes it is possible but you have to know people. KD and ADPi definitely look at out of staters not so much AGD though

If you know no-one in those sororities, who is telling you to put all your money down on them? This is an important decision-one that should be made BY YOU, AFTER YOU MEET THE SORORITIES. After all, you will be with these girls for 4 years, and a part of the organization for your lifetime. Are you going to take a poll on what your major should be, who you should date, and later, who you should marry? You need to grow some and start thinking for yourself.

This is hilarious. As if a PNM can actually 'focus on a few sororities and this be something that would actually matter. The sororities do the choosing and how much you like a certain sorority does not really figure into it. You will rank the houses on your schedule but the sororities' preferences drive the process.

This is actually funny. Why would you only want those sororities? They aren’t all that. Lots of other better chapters at auburn. Someone from that sorority wrote the dumb post-not a pnm

If you go in focused on a couple of sororities, you will likely be disappointed. I rushed with girls who had good grades, pretty, were involved in lots of things in high school and were cut by their actual sister's sorority. It happens.
The BEST things you can do are: stay off this site, ignore other people, go in with an open mind and put your best foot forward.

You have to know people in those. I was a legacy with many rifs and recs for both kd and adpi. Good grades, ACT, still cut from both of those after day 1. Focus on the others. If you go in only wanting two or three sororities you're going to be very disappointed.

Bottom line... if you don't have someone pulling for you in these three sororities you can't get in. However, there are 15 other awesome sororities at Auburn. Open your mind and take a look at them all. When it all boils down to it they're all virtually the same. A great chance to get involved and make new friends.
