oos transfer sorority recruitment

So I'm an out of state transfer. I'll technically be a sophomore, but I'll be at Auburn for 3 and a half to four years because my credits won't transfer (long story). So Anyway, I really want to rush. I lived in the south for most of my life and moved up north for a couple years. But I was wondering if they only take girls who lived in the south their whole entire lives-will having moved up north be a negative? And will being a sophomore be a complete detriment as well?
