What should I do?

by:

I went through rush and didn’t get the sorority I really wanted. I don’t mind the one I am in, but I can’t help looking at the girls in the sorority I wanted an wishing I was there. What should I do? We get initiated in the next few weeks. Would dropping now be awkward/too late for COB?

I would stay where you are and really focus on growing those relationships. There is no guarantee at all you would get the one you really wanted if you were to COB/rush again.

If you actually went through recruitment, the rules for accepting another bid were explained to you, and also before you signed the MRABA card. You obviously are NOT one of these people. It's so easy to tell that actual Greeks are NOT the ones posting and replying on this ridiculous site.

I think a lot of these “stir the pot” type of posts are actually GR employees.

Just in case you are legit, even if you depledged now, you can not rerush until 2022 fall during formal recruitment, because you signed the MRABA after your pref parties and it states that if you get a bid, you are bound to that sorority until the next formal recruitment. If you drop out( depledge) before you are initiated , you would be eligible to rush in the fall. If you initiate and then drop, you can not rerush. You are bound to that sorority for life, even if you were to change schools.
