honest current sorority rankings

Well, the original poster's question was "As of now, 2014..." Not "let's go back to 2010." GPB is a solid middle tier group, just like DDD, ZTA, DG, and AOPI. And so what if they sucked 4 years ago? That was 4 years ago, a lot can change in 4 years and it has.

I am not going to pretend I am not a Gamma Phi bc I am, & I am so proud to be! Yes, we WERE considered to be w/ "the bottom group" & had the worst GPA 4 years ago. However, so much has changed in those years. It has been our goal, as well as every other chapter at Au, to constantly better ourselves, & that is what we have done. I know it's not well known how much we have improved, but that is bc we don't sit here and list everything we have accomplished. W/ that being said, I'm am about to brag brag brag for us so I can maybe change the opinion of you and who ever else thinks we are not that great. To start, we are proud sisters of the Panhellenic president!!, have won relay for life for 3+ yrs, raise thousands for our philanthropy, actually go to the site of our philanthropy & help w/ what ever is needed, raised the top amount at dance marathon this yr, had the top indi. fundraiser for DM last year, just recently blew everybody away in panny points, consistent supporters of all sororities philanthropies, have multiple cabinet leaders, multiple pi chis, raised our grades drastically, have outstanding rushes (our return rates w/ top tier), most well known for having the BEST out of state girls, have such cute & fun girls, have the largest big little reveal, and literally so much more that I can't fit bc there is no room to type! I know everyone is bias towards their own sorority and that's totally okay, but I can honestly say we are on the rise & have been for a while.

In response to Proud Gphi:
It's so refreshing to see someone on here stick up for their own sorority rather than bring others down!! This site should be used to spread the love and not tarnish the amazing qualities every sorority has!!
And coming from someone in a different sorority, Gamma Phi has really made a lot of progress in the past few years and every Gamma Phi I know is super sweet and beautiful inside out.
Enough bashing others - it's time for more Panhellenic Love!!! <3

I loved you girls when I went through recruitment. I ended up in one of the sororities this site ranks as a top five...because it was the best fit for me. You girls were all so fun and beautiful! Don't listen to the negative comments on here....GPhi is incredible! Pan LOVE!

No..........first of all, there is a top 5. You can't break it down from there. They are all different, but they are all equally competitive. And ZTA is lovely but they aren't in anyone's top. Also, AOPi and DG are heads and tails above GPHi and DZ. Both middle, but need to flip spots. And since when has Kappa been conservative?!?! Thinking you're a freshmen and haven't been around long enough to know how it goes.

Oh shove it. Everyone acts sugary sweet but you know good and well if your rush crush picked a sorority that you know isn't on the level of yours you'd talk about it and wonder what on earth made her go them and not you. I didn't insult anyone. I stated what seems to be a widely held opinion in my 3 years here. And for the record, my "haughtiness" is honesty, my sorority isn't in the top 5 but I know where everyone stands. The kind of Image we don't need is you reprimanding strangers on a site called GREEK RANK. Bye.

I believe we need respect. Respect for ourselves and other groups. Anything else is unacceptable.

Respond with anger, point the finger,deny ownership of behavior, play the scapegoat. All classic defensive behaviors and quite transparent. Sometimes it is better to just stay quiet and let it pass. Learn from this experience and just try to tone down the attitude next time you post. You'll be fine.

Sometimes its better to let the urge to respond defensively pass. Give yourself a chance to calm down before you post.

Wait, I actually HAVE to say something back to "insult..." WHERE on earth did you see that I insulted, according to you, XO, KD, AGD, Phi Mu, ADPi, ZTA, AOPi, DG, GPhi, DZ, AND KAPPA?!?! You literally included my sorority in that group, and think I insulted us. When I said that there wasn't a top 2 in the top 5 and said all were equally competitive? Nope, not there. When I called ZTA lovely? Not a secret that they aren't considered top 5, did I say something negative though? No, I complimented them. When I said I think AOPi and DG are higher? Nope not there. When I said GPhi and DZ were below AOPi and DG but still middle? Yeah, maybe there, but I did say they were still great sororities. When I said I did think of Kappa as conservative? I guess so? Maybe? That doesn't seem mean to me. Just an observation. I don't consider my group conservative. I would respond the same way about us. But really I LITERALLY RANKED the top 5 ABOVE my sorority...and you think I insulted them. Bless it.

If i were a terrible person, I would say I'm in a group that I'm not a member of, because there are obviously people here who think I'm the worst. But I'm not a terrible person, so I'm commenting about my group. Speculate all you want, but I think that just makes you as bad as you're claiming I am.

I've never met a DG I didn't like. Don't assume the worst. In fact, most of the girls from all of the sororities are great. I think Auburn is incredibly blessed. We are a classy school. There isn't a bad group in the lot. I just hate to see any sorority put down.

All Auburn sororities are great and most groups will admit this. The only one that I can honestly say has no interest in complimenting other sororities is KD. Many KD's are legacies and their mothers have made them feel that if they are not in KD they are embarrassing to them. I have no problem with KD's and am friends with some but find it interesting that they are raised to think KD is the end all even if it is not where they belong.

I have to agree with "so true". Auburn has a great group of sororities but KD is the one hurting themselves. But heaven forbid anyone say anything negative or the claws come out and they claim you are disgruntled because "surely they must have cut you". Sad thing is, if the alums and actives would actually take this information and use it to improve, they would be awesome. But no, they are not "the brass ring" by any means. The alums/moms create a nightmare for their daughters going through rush.
