Is tri sigma really that bad?

by:

I joined Tri Sigma because I had nowhere left to go. Should I have dropped and done COB instead and taken the sophomore risk? I feel like I had the most genuine conversations there and all the girls were very sweet during recruitment, however, I noticed during bid night that they all are a bit strange.

learn from me. I only had sigma at the end because of my gpa and felt the same way. Slowly it became worse and worse and itd literally cry at night because their personalities change SO much after a while and it gets toxic. If youre feeling this way now, COB. Your gut is always right

If you’re not feeling it drop now cause they have a hefty drop fee after you’re initiated. You could try COB or you could give it a chance before initiation.

You can tell a non-sorority person who doesn't know what the hell they're talking about when they tell a girl who accepted a bid that she could drop and COB. LMAO this site...

You can drop before you’re initiated and re rush next year. This is atleast what my pi chi told me when I went through rush at auburn

Oh thats a tough situation. I guess what i would say is to give it a chance till initiation. If you don’t like it you can still leave and not have to go through an ordeal to drop. BUT if you do decide to give it a chance, you need to try your best to thihnk positively.

First off, you can tell the above posters aren’t Greek and know nothing about sorority life. They’re just trolls. Once you accept a bid, you aren’t eligible for COB and COB is actually not super common anyways.
I don’t believe for a second that any of the above posters are Greek, let alone Sigmas.
They are very kind and genuine girls and anyone that says otherwise is just being mean-spirited. Sad but true. Greek Rank is the worst.

It’s really sad to think there are people filled with such hatred. I guess they somehow feel better about themselves when the out others down. Classic bully.

Every srat has different personalities and you are never going to click with every girl in every house. I’m in a different srat but know many nice and very cool Sigmas. Also biggest thing is do you like the other girls who pledged? I have seen Auburns rush get harder and harder every year, no guarantees it will be any different next year. So it comes down to if you want to be Greek stick it out, if you do not want to be Greek drop.

I’m in a “top” house, which I hate to say since all Auburn sororities are ausome but lived with a Sigma one year. She and her sisters were so genuine and friendly. They even let me come to their formal once. Had a blast!

Honestly, give them a try. I don’t think you’d be able to do COB this year because you accepted a bid, however you can go through recruitment next year if you don’t get initiated. You still have time to keep feeling it out. I promise you after your first two weeks at auburn all of Greek rank will chill out, all the girls will stop talking about their dumb tiers, no one really cares that much, recruitment just brings so much attention bc everyone’s trying to look the best. When I joined my sorority, I was so unsure and thought about dropping but now I’m glad I stuck with it. I met some of my best friends. Just because you aren’t in a so called “top” doesn’t mean you won’t have fun, meet great people, or make great memories. Of course do what’s gonna make you happy, but maybe give it a few more weeks so you can give yourself a chance to see what they have to offer!!

You can’t COB if you decline a bid. You can’t decline a bid and change your mind and go back and take it. Once initiated you can never join another sorority.
Stick it out and meet your pledge class. Have a good attitude and stay off Greek Rank!

They are not bad at all. Some people, trolls and mean girls, give them crap because they are newer when we really should be supporting all sororities since so many girls go through rush and some don't find a home-mainly because they are made to feel insecure about their choices due to "tent talk" and the mean girls here.
Tri Sig has GREAT girls. Give it a chance.
