which sororities participate in cob?
by: freshieI didn't think sororities were for me, but now I think that I was wrong for not giving it a shot. I hate that I missed out on rush and am thinking about COB. Which sororities participate in COB or have participated in the last few years?

Most sororities actually! Panhellenic gives the sororities a quota of members they must maintain and many girls leave after the first semester due to various things. If you are friends with some girls in certain sororities, talk to them about how much you wish to be apart of the bond they have and hopefully, they will COB this next semester!

the sororities do NOT have to maintain the TOTAL set by Panhellenic. Total is strictly the limit of members that the chapters can have. They can only go over TOTAL during formal recruitment, when if they pledge the quota of new members, that raises their membership above campus total. A chapter would have to graduate (or girls drop out, or transfer, etc.) enough girls in December so that their membership numbers dipped below total for them to be able to pledge more girls in the spring-unless total was raised, and that created some vacancies.
