upperclass gpa

Do most of the groups set a different GPA requirement for someone coming through that has completed freshman year of college vs a high school GPA? College is a lot harder and some groups I believe want higher than a 3.0 for high school.

Yes, you are correct.
(Usually) slightly lower than a high school GPA is acceptable. What that is , though, is different for each group.
