How many recs does a pnm need for each sorority?

You only need one per house, but I always tell people to try to ask two people in case a rec writer doesn't get around to doing it.

Some will not read the recs if they are not from a current alumna, and also, if you don't have connections to that sorority, the rec probably won't do you any good. Not a bad idea to get them tho! Cannot hurt you!

This is not true. Get recs!! They matter. At least one for each house. It’s important.

I got 4-5 for each house(def don't need that many but my mom was super into getting them) and I was still cut from some so I think recs are just a box that they check off and a lot of nationals require them, but I don't think it'll affect you as long as you have at least one
