association of fraternities

I’m rushing currently and was wondering if you’re always allowed to go to other fraternities’ parties. I’m ignoring the rankings while I rush, but want to be able to go to “higher ranking” fraternity events as well even if I join a mid tier.

If you are friends with guys in different fraternities then you’ll be able to go to their parties and vice versa.

IFC is strict on limiting random people being allowed in fraternity parties. If you don’t know people in the Fraternity then don’t expect to go.

In the good ole days when I was undergrad (‘12-16), yes you could because anyone and everyone could go. Parties were MASSIVE.

However, in recent years, student affairs has used IFC to crack the whip and limit who is allowed to attend parties. Basically, you need to have a connection. (I’m an alumni advisor now. That’s how I know these things)
