I had a girl in my Pi Chi group that was a sophmore (almost a junior off by like 2 credit hours) and did get a bid from a mid to bottom tier house, not that i think "ranking" matters that much. Try to get rec letters if you can those help a lot! Honestly some soroities drop sophmores because they only want freshmen, girls who are going to be there and paying for 4 to 5 years. Thats a simple truth and it doesnt mean you cant or wont get a bid from a soroity you really like just dont expect a lot of parties for the second round. Dont let anything I said discourage you from rushing I just want you to be prepared and most pi chis will tell you that some sororities dont accept transfers at least during rush.

Most likely going to get dropped (like I did last year) because most sororities prefer freshman over sophomore etc Because they receive 4 years of dues instead of 3 or 2

Just go in and be yourself! My sorority has accepted sophomores and juniors. If you have good grades and a great personality, then nothing else matters.

if you have friends that are members now, reach out to them and make sure they know you are going through recruitment. if they want more info (like resume & photo) get it to them. get your recs too.

Do not send info directly to members because rush infractions. Members should know better than that anyway. Just reach out to them. Photos and resumes are submitted through registration and your sorority friends can follow up on their end to make sure they get noticed by the chapter.
