sorority rush chances & rec letters

how much do rec letters matter in rush? does it matter who they’re from, like an auburn girl that graduated a few years ago vs an older lady from auburn vs someone from bama?
with current member connections but no close friends high gpa high act honor society president would some of the pickier sororities want me or do they basically just go off who their best friends are

Letters of recommendation are good for out of state // girls who don't have many connections in the sorority. Having friends in the sorority you want is extremely important during rush, because they can pull for you the entire week. Recommendation letters are the easiest way for a sorority to "get to know you" besides stalking your social medias and looking at your resume. Hope this helps :)

It matters. Get them. If you don't you may regret it and you'll never know if having them could have made a difference.

++ it's better to have them from alumni of that chapter, but having recs from other universities work as well.
