rushing as a minority

So I’m going to Auburn next year and thinking about rushing but before I fully commit I wanted to know what the experience is like for a minority (African American). How likely is it for me to get a “top tier” bid?

It’s all about connections. If you know the right people then you’ll probably get in.

Honestly Sigma Nu and KA you won’t have a chance with but Theta Chi, Beta, or Lambda Chi all take minorities

Being from one minority to another, just be yourself and give them a reason to give you a bid. I reccomend looking at more of the newer established fraternity’s on campus since they bid more minorities and feel comfortable with their fraternity. Top tier is not worth it even if you have a few brother’s that look down upon you for being a minority. Some will say they’re open to it, but in actuality not all of the brothers.

Hey I was in the same position I rushed in uga last year and I wanted to go to a “top tier” fraternity and I ended up doing so however I would t push yourself trying to be someone your not just bc it’s a “top” chapter
