Auburn Fraternity Rankings 2018
I’ve based these rankings on the following factors: Chapter Size, Alumni Involvement, Chapter House (owned vs rented), Social Life, Brotherhood, Traditions, pledgeship (or lack of), and history on Auburn’s campus.
Elite Tier:
1. Theta Chi
2. Kappa Alpha Order (KA)
3. Sigma Nu
4. Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji)
What makes them Elite:
Without a doubt the best fraternities on campus. Nicest houses, largest chapters on campus, wealthiest alumni associations, best sorority relations and some of the oldest chapters on campus. Recruit largest pledge classes and get better quality than any other houses on campus.
Lower Top Tier:
5. Beta Theta Pi
6. Lambda Chi
7. Pi Kappa Phi (Pi Kapp)
What makes them lower top tier:
Great fraternities close to elite. Have everything going for them, nice house, strong alumni associations but just not as good as the fraternities above them. Recruit larger pledge classes and better quality compared to fraternities below them.
Upper Middle Tier:
8. Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike)
9. Alpha Tau Omega (ATO)
10. Farmhouse
11. Sigma Pi
What makes them upper middle:
Overall very good fraternities, rankings within Upper Middle Tier differ by who you ask. Most own homes, longer history on campus than fraternities below them and stronger alumni associations then lower middle tier. Recruit larger pledge classes than fraternities below them but do not get the quality that top and elite tier fraternities do.
Lower Middle Tier:
12.Phi Kappa Tau (Phi Tau)
13. Phi Delta Theta (Phi Delt)
14.Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR)
15. Delta Tau Delta (DTD)
16. Delta Chi
17. Chi Phi
What makes them lower middle:
Good fraternities but not great. Own their homes, have stronger alumni associations compared to bottom tier. Struggle with recruiting large pledge classes compared to fraternities above them.
Bottom Tier:
18. Sigma Tau Gamma (Sig Tau)
19. Phi Sigma Kappa (Phi Sig)
20. Kappa Sigma (Kappa Sig)
21. Alpha Sigma Phi (Alpha Sig)
22. Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi)
What makes them bottom tier:
Not good in any way. Most do not own the homes they live in, have been on campus less than 20 years (lack any real tradition compared to fraternities above them), no pledgeship and weak or no existent alumni associations. Probably wont exist in 10 years.

I mean the guy who wrote the rankings said it’s based off:
- Chapter Size (they are larger than all the ones you listed except Phi Tau)
- Alumni Involvement (no alumni association)
- Chapter House (does not own a home/property)
- Social Life (idk much about their social life)
- Brotherhood (can’t imagine life long bonds are formed when you didn’t go through a tough pledgeship together)
- Traditions (a 5 year old chapter has NO traditions)
pledgeship (not a real pledgeship but did get in trouble for hazing lol)
- History on Auburn’s campus (founded 5 years ago)
I’m not saying they aren’t nice people but at the end of the day no Sig Tau as an organization is not better than those other fraternities.
