chances

Hi everyone. I’m just wondering if I have any chance at all at getting a mid / high mid house here being from far out of state with no connections at all. I have a high GPA, high SAT, a couple extracurriculars that are strong, and I’ll probably be able to get recs for every house. I’m just very average looking too. I am just worried because a lot of people say that it’s hard to get a bid to the higher houses without connections :( Thank you so much if you answer, it means a lot to me just to know what i’m in for
