what if

What would happen if fraternities had the same rush process as sororities? Don't y'all think this would enhance the overall reek experience?

I think that is actually a cool idea, some schools actually do it and have a frat bid day lol. You can see videos on youtube.

Honestly I would have preferred sororities to rush like fraternities do. Sorority rush is extremely superficial and fake, while fraternity rush seems more real and you actually get to have a meaningful conversation with people. Also all the stupid songs/dances just add to the fakeness of sorority rush.

Some schools do have things a little more organized so that rushees and houses are afforded a chance to meet that they otherwise wouldn't get. Houses pick up some good guys they might not have met and houses get on good rushees' radars that might not have otherwise. After an initial organized open house round the fraternities move to invitation only events and then to issuing bids. No quotas or forced attendance or anything like that and fraternities can bid how they want. Usually their bid day is just the rushees accepting their bids and the formal ceremony of getting their pledge pins or whatever.

I actually like this idea. Auburn does have a "formal rush" week, but everyone knows that half (in some cases all) of the recruiting is done during the summer. I think this would benefit Greek life in Auburn as a whole.

Are you serious? No. No straight male would ever say that they want a rush process like sororities. This has to be a joke
