rushing twice

by: Rushing twice

I rushed last year and it was something I decided to do really last minute. I wasn't happy with the houses I had towards the 3rd round. I was trying to keep an open mind so i stayed until i got a bid. Unfortunately I didn't really feel like I was at home with that house so I dropped before I was initiated. I know I am eligible to rush again my sophomore year and is something I want to do. I just want to know if it shows up that I had previously got a bid the year before to all the chapters when i rush again? I know that might look bad that I previously rushed .I really want to be in a sorority so any advice in rushing my second time.

Should I do COB instead of formal rush, or just not rush at all?? Also will sororities care that I was in a bottom house and dropped before initiation?

If you WANT to rush again, go ahead. There’s no right or wrong answer as long as you’re doing what to want. People might know you were at another house and then dropped, but I don’t think most people really care if you have a good reason, it’s okay not to click with certain girls. But this time don’t think you’re too good for any house because you’re not.

The sororities are so busy with their new members and activities throughout the year that they don't remember where a particular girl pledged ( unless she was a friend or a rush crush). Heck, many will probably not know that you went through last year or that you depledged unless you tell them.

But what have you done differently to be a more desirable PNM this time around? Do you have a high GPA? Did you join a club or two? Did you volunteer with a charity? Do you have friends from last year's new member classes who will pull for you? Do you have recs? Your HS grades and acticities won't be important after a year of college under your belt. It's all about what you did last year.

Well, I'm a troll. I post on all the schools I want. Stop ruining my fun. It's all I have to make me feel special and important. I never got to be Greek, so making fun of you all makes me feel like I have something in my life.
